Pascal Odoyer, great-uncle of Jean-Pierre Lafond, governor of Tavel, became one of the first winegrowers in his village. His wine estate was passed down from father to son.

Pascal Lafond's grandfather, Valéry Taulier, built the first private cellar in Tavel. He contributed greatly to the development of the Tavel appellation by creating links between the Burgundy trade and Tavel.

Jean-Pierre Lafond, Valéry Taulier's son-in-law, built his own wine estate. A passionate horse racing enthusiast, he named his estate Roc-Epine, in memory of Roquépine, the famous trotter who won the Grand Prix d'Amérique three times in a row in the late 1960s. This is how the Lafond Roc-Epine estate was born.

Pascal Lafond, son of Jean-Pierre Lafond, begins working at the estate. With his father, they decide by mutual agreement to sell the wines only in bottles (Tavel, Lirac and Côtes du Rhône).

A big decision has been made, we are starting organic certification. After more than 10 years of sustainable agriculture, we are taking another step for the environment by committing to the organic path. Because we know that it is what is best for our land and for our children.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are certified organic! Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine has finally obtained its organic certification. Thus, starting with the 2012 vintage, all our wines will be certified organic.
